Casa do Sol 4 Massive Contemporary Home in Brazil Accommodating Three Family Generations

David Guerra Architecture And Interior designed the original looking Casa do Sol, a residential project especially envisioned for a couple with two children and grandchildren. The house rests on a lot in the Condomínio Villa Castella, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Showcasing a diverse exterior design, different from every standpoint, the residence partially opens up towards the backyard, where glass windows and a large terrace create a good connection to the outdoors. The interiors are modern, yet inspire warmth due to the extensive use of wood. The core of the residence is a generous living and dining area, with plenty of room for the entire family and guests. Everything about this massive home inspires space, including the elegant bedrooms and bathrooms. The decorative elements showcased below may prove to be inspiring also- have a look and tell us what you think!

Close to Stuttgart’s center, a converted 1950s laboratory building with a facade designed by Wilford Schupp hides a luxurious suite of spaces named the Quant 1 Apartment. Designed by Ippolito Fleitz Group – with offices in Stuttgart – this glamorous apartment only has one bedroom and one and a half bathrooms, and was based on a concept that would target single women. The colors, textures and style, as well as furniture items and design lines were carefully chosen to not only create a sense of stylish glamor, but also to give the compact spaces a sense of spaciousness “achieved through a strong emphasis on transparency and openness in the design of the individual elements.” A curved staircase in the middle of the apartment creates a bold statement of space, while displaying a beautiful set of lamps.

The upper floor is occupied by the bedroom, bathroom and dressing room, all shaping a modern fairytale-like space: “ Opposite the bed, the bedroom opens down onto the dining area via four synchronized windows, with a curtain for when discretion is required. On the other side of the room, an oval window enclosed within a Chesterfield-upholstered seating niche, which creates a sensuous boudoir effect, provides a visual link to the bathroom. The materiality of the bedroom is characterized by soft fabrics: A thick-pile, velour carpet, white, upholstered leather, a diaphanous yet opulent expanse of curtain, and flower motif wallpaper on the wall behind the bed are offset and complemented by off-white bedroom furniture. The adjoining bathroom is enclosed by porcelain stoneware executed in horizontal stripes, generating a very tactile feel. A mirrored bathroom cupboard of whitewashed oak stretches along the length of the room. With its mirrored doors and multiple illuminated compartments, it exudes a sense of abundance and offers generous storage.” How many of you ladies would love to call this apartment your home?
