Pet and Person, Rocking-2-Gether In Patent-Pending Chair Posted: 28 Apr 2012 01:53 AM PDT Sharing moments together with your trusty pet companion can create a strong bond, but relaxing together can also improve the way you understand a stress-free moment. Cats are perfect teachers of relaxation – they swiftly react to threats, but when it comes to down time, you can clearly see there is nothing in the world that can bother a cat. Dogs, on the other hand, thrive when close to their masters and mirror their behavior and every moment with them is a bliss. The patent-pending Rocking-2-Gether Chair designed by Houston architect Paul Kweton creates this shared moment routine while displaying a carefully mastered design. Made out of CNC milled birch plywood, the modern rocking chair can be customized to display different density and sizes for the wooden spacers, so you can control the visual connection between you and your pet. If you love this design found on LaughingSquid as much as we do, spread the word that Paul Kweton is currently looking for manufacturers and distributors. We might see this beautiful rocking chair/dog house hybrid on the market in no time! You're reading Pet and Person, Rocking-2-Gether In Patent-Pending Chair originally posted on Freshome. Fluid Design Captured In Glass Pool-Adorned Residential Tower Posted: 27 Apr 2012 09:23 AM PDT Virtually rising 140 meters in the air over Indian ground, the Bandra Ohm Residential Tower was supposedly designed for a location in Mumbai, India. James Law Cybertecture imagined a cluster of highly contemporary spaces inspired by the ripple effect. A rounded outline shapes a magnificent residential building resembling the Ohm (Ω) symbol. Fluid and dynamic spaces were designed to complete this highrise building – stunning undulating glass pools acting as balconies add drama to breathtaking city views. This comes to show that infinity pools can become part of luxury apartment design. In the words of the architects, the water-inspired residential tower breaks the boundaries of design and challenges the inhabitants to rethink their homes while experiencing unique features: “The ripple effect usually generates a vortex-like space in the center. The tower design is trying to recapture the essence of this space by creating a large void in the middle along with a special designed clubhouse form. With approximately 30 storeys of residential units, Bandra Ohm aims to provide a luxurious living environment and experience to the residents.” Dare to dive in?
