Marina Apartment 1 Quality Wood And Stone Details Shaping A Polish Apartment

Trusting the interior designers you work with is very important – something incredible can result from understanding the needs and wishes of a client and then designing a residential space that can accommodate their lifestyle while constructing a new setting for their daily activities. The Marina Apartment 1 is just that kind of place – a renovated apartment in Warsaw’s Mokotow district designed according to a few guidelines – a cozy, modern quality home, displaying many wood details and a beautiful sea fish aquarium – and a creative set of minds. After enjoying the Eko Park 3 apartment, this is the second residential loft part of Polish Exit Interior Design Studio‘s portfolio that caught our attention. The photos made by Olo Rutkowski present us with carefully selected and designed details, emphasized by the client’s constant search for quality. In order to have a comfortable, contemporary home suited for this family, the best firms working with wood, stone and other elements were selected and the result is magnificent.

This is how the designers explain their work on this project: “These high standards gave us a lot satisfaction while we were working on the project and later on during its implementation. After accepting and adapting some inconvenient construction elements, within one year the interior was created for the family with two teenagers. Downstairs -the area used during a day – there is the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, the toilet, the guest room and the entrance hall. Upstairs – the area used at night – there are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and the sauna and on the second floor there is the entertainment zone with the film projector and Hi-Fi equipment. The final effect is a combination of the best quality materials and work of top craftsmen – to fulfill particular requirements of the client. Therefore, we used material such as : American Nut and Ebony wood and natural stony elements made of Onyx, Blanco Statuario, Nero Asoluto or Trawertino Navona. After one year of work, our project and its final version was fully approved by our client with great satisfaction on both sides.

Rieteiland House 14 Modern Family Home in the Outskirts of Amsterdam: Rieteiland House

Envisioned by Amsterdam-based studio Hans van Heeswijk Architecten, Rieteiland House and is a 2,900 square foot, three story home especially developed for the van Heeswijk family. The residence was constructed in a peaceful setting, on the island of IJburg, near Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. More details were provided by the project team: “While the front of this waterside house is clad in perforated aluminium panels, the rear is entirely glazed, so that residents can watch the sun set. Some of these panels are positioned behind windows and can be opened automatically to allow light to enter. The waterfront façade, by contrast, is completely open and orientated to the view. On the second floor, part of the volume is omitted to create space for a screened roof terrace”. The materials used to build the residence were glass, concrete, steel and wood.

Glass House 1 Yet Another Glamourous Architecture Display in South Africa: Glass House

Glass House is an imposing residence designed by studio Nico Van Der Meulen Architects and located in Johannesburg, South Africa. The owners wanted a glamorous home, filled with light and strongly connected to its environment. With a total floor area of 2500 square meters, the residence meets its requests. According to the architects, “the shape on the south side is a half circle, forming a horseshoe on the north side. The porte cochere is a suspended glass and stainless steel structure, with view into the house and a stainless steel and glass staircase, suspended over a heated pond, (which in summer acts as a temperature stabilizer, and in winter as a giant heater) with a circular, raised glass water feature in the background, framed by a beam two storeys high”. The interiors of the Glass House are highly modern, with details that dazzle the mind. Have a look and tell us what you find most intriguing.

Sustainable Modern Home in Costa Rica: Areopagus Residence

Areopagus Residence 5 Sustainable Modern Home in Costa Rica: Areopagus Residence

Paravant Architects have designed the Areopagus Residence located in Atenas, Costa Rica. The main objective of the project development team was to create a home that would best communicate with the surrounding landscape:”Villa Areopagus sits modestly on the site, shrouded in the surrounding vegetation. The street facing facade is largely opaque – a massive concrete wall with selective punctures that only provide a glimpse of the interior. The openings are strategically placed to provide the house with cross ventilation and natural cooling. The private facade faces south and features transparent glazing which allows for complete views of the valley towards San Jose”. The residence features renewable energy sources, such as solar and photovoltaic systems and an on-site micro waste-water-treatment plant for irrigation. Find this project’s design approach captivating?
